CALL FOR MASTERS APPLICATION FOR THE 2024/2025 ACADEMIC YEAR

Applications will open from November 6th to December 15th 2023. Find below the complete guideline to apply.

Following the great success of the first edition launched in March 2023, the Embassy of France in Nigeria is renewing its scholarship program to finance a Master’s degree in a French public high education establishment for the academic year 2024/2025. Five grants will be awarded to the laureates wanting to pursue studies related to Environment and Risk Management. The deadline to submit your application is set on December 15th 2023.

This program is funded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the French Ministry for Higher Education and Research, and implemented by the French Embassy and Campus France Nigeria.

The applications must respect the eligibility criteria and thoroughly follow the application procedure stated in this call to be considered.

  • Environment
  • Risk Management

Eligibility criteria:

  • Have Nigerian nationality and reside in Nigeria
  • Under 35 years old
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (Environment, Risk Management) 
  • Have completed National Service
  • First Class or Second Class Upper applications will be given priority consideration
  • Be fully committed to take up a course of study in France for the academic year from September/October 2024/2025
  • French proficiency is not a requirement for application if the program is held in English

 

What will be covered by the scholarship?

Note that a Master’s program in France usually lasts two years (M1 + M2). The scholarship covers two academic years if the scholar is admitted in M1, and one academic year if the scholar is admitted in M2. The scholarship caters for:

  • Transportation,
  • a monthly allowance,
  • guidance to find affordable student housing
  • healthcare coverage throughout the training period,
  • visa fee
  • national tuitions fees in a public university.

Required documents:

  1. Copy of your international passport data page (valid for a minimum of two (2) years)
  2. Detailed CV
  3. Personal statement
  4. Bachelor's certificate or equivalent
  5. Undergraduate transcript (in one or 2 documents maximum)
  6. NYSC certificate
  7. Recommendation letter from your university (not mandatory but strongly recommended)

The title of the documents must be as followed: NUMBER OF DOCUMENT. LAST NAME First Name - Type of document

3.TERWASE Philomena - Bachelor degree, etc.

Be careful ! The deadline to apply is set on December 15th 2023 !

  • Get an application interview with Campus France

From January to March, you will have to pay for the Campus France fee (50,000) and have an interview with one of our officers at either Campus France Abuja (northern students) or Campus France Lagos (southern students).

During the interview, you will have to mention that you want to apply for this scholarship.

  • The schools give out admission

From April to May, the schools give their admissions on Etudes en France.

Campus France Nigeria and The Embassy of France will review the scholarship applications and admissions given by public Institutions.

The commission will be deliberating over the files and give interviews to the best candidates.

5 of them will be selected and awarded the scholarship!

 

Timeline

From November 6th and December 15th 2023 at 11:59pm Nigeria time: applicants register on Etudes en France, make wishes in the field of Environment/Risk management and send their documents by email.
January to 15th March 2024: Application interviews for all candidates. The applicants of the scholarship must mention during the interview that they wish to apply.
From April to May 2024: Admissions for public institutions
June 2024: Interview of the pre-selected candidates
July 1st 2024: Publication of the list of laureates
September/October 2023: Departure to France
